How many followers and posts do I need to apply to BBJ SPORTS?
The current pilot standard for Chinese short-form video channels is at least 10,000 authentic followers on a main channel; 12 original posts in 90 days, including at least 4 in the last 30 days; and at least 60% sports-related original content. Review also considers quality, audience fit, genuine influence, consistency and reliability. Meeting the baseline enables review, not automatic signing. Other platforms and markets are assessed appropriately.
Can athletes, coaches or niche sports creators apply with a small audience?
Yes, through the specialist pathway. Share verifiable sporting experience, relevant credentials, representative work and audience information, explaining your expertise and creative direction. Influence in a specialist sport is not measured by follower count alone. BBJ reviews these applications individually; professional experience does not guarantee representation.
How is representation different from creator development? Must I buy a course?
Representation follows a review and a contract defining commercial management and longer-term support. Creator development is a paid BBJ Academy service focused on positioning, content, skills and channel operations. You do not need to buy a course to apply for representation. Learners may remain independent, work with their existing organisation or apply voluntarily when eligible.
How can BBJ help a sports creator reach international audiences?
We start with your existing audience, sporting expertise and target market, then define content positioning, multilingual expression, platform operations and brand opportunities within the agreed scope. International development requires local cultural and platform understanding, not just subtitles. Markets, production support, channel permissions and representation territory should be agreed in writing. Fixed follower growth or income is not promised.
Is representation exclusive? How are fees, rights and exit terms agreed?
Exclusivity, platforms, territories, fees or revenue share, payment timing, account and content rights, commercial permissions and termination are agreed in the representation contract. BBJ does not publish one commission rate for every creator. Applying does not transfer rights to your channel or work. Review the actual services and obligations before signing.
What should I prepare for a sports creator application?
Prepare your main channel links, follower and recent content metrics, representative work, sport, audience locations, contact details and goals. Specialist applicants can add verifiable experience and credentials. Mention any existing representation or brand restrictions. An initial application does not require account passwords or verification codes; authenticity and availability are reviewed in follow-up.
